STEROIDS IN TREATMENT OF BRONCHIAL ASTHMA

Abstract

|
Although the application of anti inflammatory steroids is much critized nowadays, if
given rationally, they will be strong weapons for bronchial asthma.
The efficiency of steroids on bronchial asthma depends chiefly on the activity that in
habits the paroxysmal attack of asthma pharmacologically.
To the cases of bronchial asthma in whom the allachcomes uncontinuously, continuos
application of steroids is not desirable. It is evident that at the time of attack only a short-term administration of a large amount of steroids is effective.
